Silkie just hatched with something attached to it

One of my Silkies just hatched with what I'm going to guess is part of the ambilicall cord, but I'm not sure since I'm new to hatching. Anybody know?

From the pic, it does look like a little "cord"/membrane. Just watch the other chicks make sure they don't peck at it. Chances are it'll come off on it's own as she moves around, if not you can tie it off and cut it. If they aren't picking at it you can let it dry naturally, but generally with other chicks the will peck.

I didn't even think about the others pecking at it. I'm not home right now, but when I left the others hadn't been messing with it. As long as I leave the light turned off in the room, they all seem to leave each other alone.

The cord still hasn't fallen off. Can I cut it since it appears to be dried up?
