I have heard that the Large Fowl variety of Silkies are not shown in the U.S. and so very few keep them. I am trying to compile a list of potential breeders that my friend could buy an LF silkie roo from here in the states. That is to say, a good quality silkie which is 14 inches tall or more and four pounds or larger. She is also a big fan of featherless legs and actually likes six toed varieties so if anyone has a bird they plan to cull for either of these that fits the size category she will be willing to pay extra.

I believe @MysteryChicken is breeding "giant silkies". I'm not sure if they have any available but maybe can help. I have a big silkie rooster but he has feathered legs and feet, plus he can be a jerk. I wish you and your friend luck
If I remember correctly Mystery Chicken is essentially doing so through Brahma crosses. My friends breeding project has a goal of avoiding feathered feet so a Brahma mix would likely hinder this

I'm not in the U.S and LF silkies are common here.

I may have a LF Silkie chick available if it doesn't meet the requirement I need. The chick turns 4 weeks tomorrow. It's also getting treated for Coccidiosis right now. I'll get a picture of the chick later.
Here's the father.

He's taller then a 5 gallon bucket.

LF Silkies have Feathered legs.

I'm using LF Silkie X Brahma to keep the Birds Large for the Giant Silkie Project. After I get my main Stable Flock I'll be crossing in Malay.

I can raise the chick upto 5-6 months for them, but they would have to travel to pick it up.
I have not sexed this chick, so I'll notify if it's a cockerel, or not.

I'm aware they have feathered legs typically I meant as an anomaly. Would crossing it with Malay give the body shape of an oriental game fowl?
