1 year 3 month old Silkie has a noticeable limp. Looking at the legs and feet we do not see anything. Also he does not seem to react to the bottom of the foot being touched or the leg. We have not seen him curl his toes and he is still walking and running with a bad limp.

Here are a couple of pictures Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.

He's one year and three months old. His diet is mainly Dumor 16% Layer Crumble. I also have some Dumor 20% Layer crumble in the chicken run for the chicks that were hatched this spring/summer, but the adult chickens eat it too. They get a little alfalfa every day and meal worms and 5 grain scratch for treats. Occasionally they get potato or carrot peels or watermelon, but not often. He is still eating and drinking normally.

Give his feet a good soaking in warm soapy water.
Spread the toes apart and clean the debris from around the toes, make sure that any debris that is in the nooks/crannies and crevices of the toes is removed. He may have some accumulation in those pockets that has hardened and makes it difficult or uncomfortable to walk.

Once you do that see if he improves.
