And this is Mom. She is a hatchery silkie.

This is Dad, he is a splash am. He is bearded but his beard just gets plucked off every once in a while.

So my question is, Beth seems to have the frayed silkie wing feathers coming in, at 1.5 weeks old. From what I've learned, she should have normal feathers. Will she feather out the rest of her feathers normally, or might she have the silkie feathers? Her wings really stump me. Anyone have experience with silkie mixes and can tell me if this is normal?

Is that the only male you have? Or do you have a young one that you thought was a Pullet?
I have no other males living in the same coop. No pullets. But right next door I have this silkie dude. Lol he looks so funny when wet.

He can't possibly mate with Cindy the mom. I do rarely bring Mom to him. But I don't recall doing that for many weeks before collecting the egg Beth hatched from. There might be a slight chance she's his baby, though and it would be nice if she is, tbh.

He's beautiful!

I need to share an updated picture of my silkie with you. She(?) has regular smooth looking feathers on her wings. But the rest are normal silkie feathers. She's 13 weeks old now. I'll get a picture today.

I agree with @sourland.

She'll be a satin silkie, and a very beautiful one!

He really is! He's very, ahh, nonconsensual when it comes to mating, and will even try to mate with 5 weeks old chicks. Also the Am boy fights with him and always wins and injures him. The hens despise him. I can't get myself to eat/rehome him so that's why he lives alone in a lil coop.
