Silkie on 9 eggs

I have a silkie on 9 regular size eggs will she be able to cover and hatch that many or is this just going to be a bad thing going to happen I had a full size hen broody who broke broody so I had to put them under the silkie will this be to much for her?

Could you candle them? If the other hen started them you could check and see which ones to give the silkie. that is a lot of eggs for the silkie but she might be able to set them good luck

I tried candle last night but they are maran eggs and it was only day six i didnt see anything but I wouldnt know if I did. On my others it was day 10 when I candled and could see veining but on these they are so dark I cant see anything like that. Thanks for the coment.

ooooohhhh..Even though they love being broody, that may be too many for her to handle. I usually only put 6-8 silkie eggs under my broodies, so regular sized eggs may be a bit too much..After 7 days, even on darker colored eggs, you should be able to see some kind of veining. Maybe after you do that, she won't have as many to handle!
