I bought a Silkie hen recently and have noticed that she has a big over beak. I guess that's what it's called. If she was a human, I'd call it an overbite. I'm pretty sure that I shouldn't breed her, right? I had to separate her from the Silkie Roo I got with her because he was bothering her every 5 minutes. I don't even think she is laying yet - at least not at my house. Is there something you can do for this condition, like file it back or something? Or should I just leave her be. She's eating and drinking OK. Here's a picture. The top beak really does hang over a lot.

Trim with nail clippers. No reason not to breed. A lot of chickens' upper beak grows a too long. You can see where the quick begins, so don;t trim into it.
