So I got two cute little Silkie hens the other day- one blue and one splash. I gave them a bath when we brought them home. It made them look really good. Right now they are in quarantine for a while because the splash had some stuff going on.

Anyways, the silkies are getting poop, food and anything else they can get into on them.

How many times a month can I bathe silkies? Is it just like regular chickens- once in a while?

Thanks

I guess you can bath them as much as you think they need it. I only bath my Silkies when we are going to a show. However, I do wash feet about every week.

Thanks- I just feel bad because they both have poop on them! I don't want it to affect their silkie-ness at all. We usually bathe just before going to a show as well.

My silkies did that too. Especially on their feet....poopy feet all the time! But I didn't bathe them, except for cleaning off their feet sometimes. I didn't show mine.
