Nice Silkie Pair possible Paint project. These 2 are the result of a PI project but I have sold a few that are being used in paint projects with good results they both also have lavender in their lines so you could use them in that way or just in a fun color group. Both are about 1 years old The roo is about 2 months older than the hen. He has nice black areas over his white coloring. He has heavily feathered feet and great separation and nice black walnut comb with big crest muff and beard. Both have vaulted sculls. The hens black spots are more muted, she has nice type and is presently laying. I have successfully gotten chicks from her both similar in her color and I am 99% positive she also made full lav babies when bred to my lav roo. She has nice crest, beard and muff and good separation of toes and nice shredding of feathers. Both are very friendly and dirty as we had a bit of a rainy season and they free range all day.

Express Shipping with new Horizon box is $55 I can not ship to Ohio.

I am driving to Cape Cod after auctions, taking 95-195 from Westchester NY if anyone would like to meet up for pick up either in Westchester or anywhere along the route up to Cape Cod I would be happy to do so.

Due to the economy I will be starting all auctions at a $1 and am happy to try to work out pick-ups with anyone so inclined.

Same thing here. No way is someone only getting $1 dollar for these birds. That's just not fair. And ummm....same deal on the roo if I win? Please? Cause two roos is two more roos than I am legally allowed where I live plus my boyfriend will then have to kill me twice. If not, I'll just have to figure something out.

I have Lav/Split Hens and Lav/Split Roos. I was going to pair this Gorgeous Guy with the girls. My question is: Is it possible for this pair to produce Paint Chicks?
Does not hurt that these 2 are absolutely beautiful and he looks like a Siamese kitten!

I have spoken to seveal people who are making or tying to make paints. none have started with the same colors, from what I can see it is something people have gotten by some fluke or perhaps a combo of genes not understood, and then selectively breed for that color from that point on. Now you might want to confirm this with other breeders because honestly PI color is kicking my but so I have not been reading up on other new colors.

. I can say that I have sold a few who are using them in paint projects and I have gotten this coloring in 2 generations myself. My personal opinion is yes it might be possible to bet paint colored offspring, certainly the roo has very specific black patches.

with both of these birds both the grandsire, and sire were full lavs.

I personally would offer more but the shipping kills me! They do take really good care of them on this end. They call me from the Distribution Center and I go pick them up. Then they do not have to ride to the Post Office and sit.

Thank you for the answer AHappyChick!

Waiting........ 5 minutes left, I think.
