Silkie-polish cross.

I have a 3 1/2 month old silkie polish mix. Mother was a silkie, father is polish. I can NOT for the life of me figure out if this chick is male or female! His/her name is Pip. I can’t tell by the polish Afro, because it’s not really developed, and who knows if it will be full anyway, due to being a mix breed.. my female polish has the same wattles as Pip, and a similar comb on the silkie and polish hens. So I need help!

Cockerel. he’s getting some pointy hackle feathers.
