Silkie question....

sorry- i know these gender questions are asked frequently...but my 13 week old smallest silkie has developed small waddles...does take it out of the running for "hen"? Wondered if the breed usually has hens with waddles....she/he's bearded and a splash....

[Sonoran Silkies]

Means nothing--muffs and beards (and I think crest, too) reduce wattle size, but do not always entirely eliminate them. I've had hens with bigger wattles than roos and vice versa. Generally you prefer as small as possible in the bearded silkies.
