silkie questions

Hello Everyone !!

so I have a group of 7 week pullets (doms) so sweet and fun.
Well now I have the possibility of getting a silkie. I really want a silkie

so question one. what are the roo's like of this breed ? I am not interested in another mean roo
problem is you can never find an older pullet so you have to start with a baby

thoughts ?

I have a slikie rooster. I just got my chickens earlier this year but I have 4 black sex link hens, 3 star comet hens, and a silkie pair. I just love the rooster though. He is pretty laid back. Doesn't seem aggressive at all like some other roosters I've seen.

thank you hilltop for your reply . In researching and reading and my one personal experience I have found Roo's can be
quite nice till they hit one. Our little guy was great till he hit about 1 now he's a terror.
I really want to add a silkie to my girls and there is a chance it could be a hen but I feel with my luck it will be a roo so I must
be prepared !
I tried really hard not to be hit with this thing you call chicken math but there are two breeds I am enamored by and that's the silke
and the buff orphinton.
Trying so hard not to add !! No sure if I will win this fight lol

While i think as with anything their can be variances for the most part, they are tolerable lol I have quite a few and some are 1yo... i don't have any standout issues with any of ours, mine are all banty.
