Alright guys. So one day I went to feed my grower pen, and I found my favorite and best young silkie roo laying on the ground, looking about dead. His beck was resting on the ground. I rushed him inside. And nothing really appeared wrong with him. I Suspected Cocci. Cause he looked all drowsy and stuff like the chicks with Cocci do. So I gave him sulmet, and put mite dust on him. Well it's been over a week now.

He doesn't eat or drink. I have been syringe feeding him daily, and man it's a chore. He is still so skinny. He seems weak and tired. He might get up and pace around his box for a little, but he always holds his nost slightly tilted out and just walks in circles.

Well today I was scanning the site, and it appears me might have wry neck? He is 3 and a half months old.

I bathed him again today, and noticed his neck is bend down in an S shape. He never holds his head up, it seems to be 'stuck' down in a bent position.

I really think it's Wry neck. But how can I fix it? What can I do? If I fix it will be okay for the rest of his life?

Also I have a light brahma that is about 2 months old. Ever since it was little, when it gets excited it runs around in little circles? Is it possible that it has wry neck too? It's neck don't look twisted. But I red somewhere that was symton.

PolyVi Sol baby vitamins, without iron. My roo perked up in just 2 days and you can't tell he ever had a problem.

If you don't have infants, go to the store, the vitamins may be by the baby food or over by the the vitamins, they are liquid not pills. I gave my roo 2 drops 3X a day.

It took a coupld days for him to appear normal but I gave him the vitamins once a day for 2 days after that just to be sure.

Good luck

i WOULD GIVE BOTH OF THEM THE HIH vIT e AND vIT b COMPLEX TREATMENT FOR THE NERVOUS DISORDERS THEY HAVE

the best thing for him is the
wet mash probiotic with Vit E and Vit B complex
this will help his nervous system which is being attacked at this time
because you see discordanation in his attempt to walk okay

do this
*** note if you leave him with other chickens to doctor him then multiply amt of wet mash probiotic and vit's by amt of chickens fed the wet mash

(A) natural probiotic wet mash with Vit E and Vit B complex added immediately
basically the chicken has some nerve damage do this immediately
need neurolodigal vit E and Vit B complex for nervous disorder Also the apple cider vineager in water

(1) 2 tbsp per gallon of water till chickens are well and the 2 times a week for life

(2 immediately give the chicken 1000 mg capsule of liquid Vit E by cutting the end of the capsule and taking the vit E liquid and mix in wet mash probiotic

(2-B) total amt of capsules equals the total amt of chickens fed vit's

(3 also need to crush a vit B complex pill in tabsp and add it the chickens wet mash after it is disolved

(4) also a Vit D crush and put in the wet mash probiotic

(5) then give this to the chicken twice a week for two weeks should see much improvement

(6 Do both Vit's twice today then for 7 days till you see some improvement in the chicken

(7 today I would see if the chicken will eat a wet mash with the Vitamins E and B complex

(8) THIS IS FOR ONE CHICKEN (multiply by the amt of chickens you have to eat this wet mash and Vitamins)

natural probiotic wet mash
2 tbp of dry crumbles
4 tbp of milk sweet, sour or buttermilk
1 tbsp of non flavored yogurt
mix good and put the
vit E liquid as directed in the wet mash
and crumble the Vit B complex tablet in a tabsp and add to the wet mash
also vit D crushed in wet mash
**BESURE AND MIX VIT'S VERY GOOD IN WET MASH*** so all chickens get their share

(9 Do this twice a day for 7 days to see if the chicken is better
then do this once a day for another week then once a week for a while
this should give the nervous system some stability

(10) they should clean it up in 20-30 minutes

(11 you can email by PM for more information and include this inf so I remember what is happening

Wow Glenda, Mine's been "cured" for months but I'm gonna go home and mix a mash (sounds funny
lol.png
) for the whole group. I bet they could all use a boost.

I do give them Avia Charge but not on a regular basis, just once a month. Should I keep that up?

Thanks again for the education!

Alright here is what I got. And this is what I will be feeding the little guy. Tell me if I need to make adjustments.

One egg yolk, and a spoonful of plain yogurt, 2 squirts of the Vitamin B-Complex.

This makes about 6 syringes full. Which is all I can forcefeed down him in one day.

Also I give him a few syringes full of water. I will add Apple Cider Vineager in that now.

I will have to pick up some Vitamin E tomorrow. I have none with me.

I tried mashing up crumbles and adding that to his food. But it just doesn't work well. They are too big to go easily through the syringe and he doesnt like it. So I have to stick to egg right now.
