Silkie roo?

I currently have 2 rirs about 6 months old and 2 golden buffs who are 11 weeks old.
Someone in my area is giving away silkie roos.
Would getting a silkie too be a bad idea with the girls I have?
I would eventually like a roo but am afraid of aggressive behavior since I have 6 kids.

Aggressive Roosters happen.

Not all roosters will be aggressive. It depends on the individual rooster. Everyone will have a different personality.


Aggressive silkie roosters are rare, I only had 2 in my life of owning silkies. I kept one, since he's only a biter.

Go for it! My flock currently is standard sized hens and 2 bantam sized roosters and I love it. When my (standard) Brahma rooster passed on, I couldn't find another one so I went with the little fellas because I have a bit of a fear of aggressive roosters.
