So i came home lastnight to bloody silkie roosters. Just their heads. Do i need to get rid of all if they are the only ones fighting i have 21 chickens 4 bantams 5 silkies and 12 layers all together. The silkies i have seen are completely different in looks and never agressive. Please help should i seperate from my flock i dont have enough room to put all 3 in seperate pens. Their crowns are what appears to be bleeding.

When i said all i ment all 3 silkie roosters

If you have only one coop and a group of mixed male and female chickens, it's not a good idea to keep multiple cockerels/roosters unless they have grown up together. Otherwise, fights usually break out once the cockerels sexually mature, which can be anytime after 12 weeks.

Here are a couple of possible solutions:

1. Get rid of one of the roosters.

2. Split the pen or build a separate pen for one of the roosters and let a few hens live with him.

Whatever you decide to do, best of luck!

The roosters have grown up together. They have been better since but just realize one of my silkies i thought was a hen is also a rooster. The 3 roosters i have are not normal silkies idk what they are mixed with but are huge and not normal at all. I have a total now of 4 silkie roosters 1 silkie hen 1 feather footed bantam rooster and 3 female bantam and 12 regular pullet hens. So a total of 16 hens to 5 roosters.

My coop is a 6x8 with large outdoor run probably 6×20. Not a lot of room to seperate the coop inside. We started with 20 pullets ended up with the 12 and added the silkies and bantams after. My pullets are fine my silkie rooster are i think righting over the hens

Sorry you're having issues. I'm a bit confused trying to run your numbers but I think what I'm getting is your coop and run are a bit small for the number of birds you have and your male to female ratio is out of balance. Too many roosters. My run is almost twice the size and I went through last year with 12 birds. Winter brought on boredom issues so I learned deep litter method which helped for those days free ranging wasn't optional. This year I opted to cut back on size a little.

The silkies aren't unusual for hatchery stock.

Five males is a bit much for only 16 pullets, especially for a confined situation. Just one or 2 would be enough.

If you are in a colder climate your situation will likely get worse once winter arrives and the birds stay in the coop more often. It's small for the number of birds you have.
