Silkie Rooster flew the coop

We went to the auction last night and purchased a Silkie rooster and hen. We put them in a cage in the garage. Our other girls are in a large coop with enclosed Run about 20 feet away. My husband went to take him out and he took off into the woods, our back yard. What are the chances he will return to the coop area where the girls are? He was soo pretty we dont want to loose him.

I hope he will come back... I had a quail get out and it came back(but he lived here for several months)

i bought a pair of EE's and the roo did that he came back in a few hours b/c he came her with a hen!
