I think that you have purchased a beautiful bird. Silkies are tough as far as gender - it does look like a pullet, but I am not sure.

I'm a little concerned as I'm sure she has started to grow streamers from her head! I will get a better picture in the morning and upload it. Thanks! Completely fallen in love with her!

Crest is a little small for a pullet - a profile shot would help with a gender 'guess'.

You could post photos on the "Silkie thread," for breeders to have a gander at. You really need to have some showing the bird head on, which will help in detecting the comb.
Generally silkies cannot be sexed with any authority before 4-5 mos. of age and sometimes not till they lay or crow.

Silkies are one of the hardest breeds to sex. Could you perhaps get a pic of it's face? I'm thinking pullet but I'm not sure either.

This us a picture of her head. I'm worried about the streamers as I know that is a roo thing! Thankyou I love BYC! It's really helped. Unfortunately the flock and Betsy caught respritory disease and due to the forums I was able to diagnose early and get to the vets. There now on antibiotics and on the mend!
