Silkie sexing...

I have four 3-4 week old paint silkies that id love to be able to sex. I am aware that silkies are probably the hardest breeds to sex and most will say wait until they lay or crow but I was just wondering if anyone had an honest way to sex them anytime before that?

Sorry, I haven't heard of one. Silkies are difficult because they have an unusual comb type, but mainly because of the dark purplish skin. In most breeds, cockerels will get red in their combs at a much earlier age than pullets, but that doesn't work when both sexes have the same color in the comb and face.

Even though they are probably too young, you are welcome to post them for sexing. You might not get anything useful, but you could get lucky.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a response. I was aware of this but was borderline praying someone had a new found sexing method. I will def post some pictures when I get home later!
