Yes, it would be possible. You could cross a red or buff male with a cuckoo female to get black sex links. You can cross a red or buff male with a pure white female carrying the silver gene to get red sex links.

I think you get that information from the breeder. Or possibly the white chicks will have very white down, where as white chicks with a gold gene would have a slightly yellowish down color to them.
