I'm down to 9 hens and 2 roos (one is a bb red old english bantam - really small!) and we have a silkie sitting on 4 eggs! we're anxiously waiting to see if any will hatch! I'm thinking about ordering more chicks from a hatchery. will I need to separate the babies from the big ones and if so, for how long?
