Yesterday I was cleaning the pen for the ducks and I happen to look over to the other pen and there is a silkie chick looking at me thru the mesh. She melted my heart trying so hard to come over and help. Well my husband picked the chick up and brought her over to where I was, she "helped" me mop the duck pen. She ran around my red water bucket several times then tried to jump inside it. Not sure what had gotten into her. I then finished with the duck pen and went to the other room to dump the water....silkie followed 
She found the cat water on the way and sat there and drank and drank and drank....I have no idea why she insisted on trying to drink all the water. My mom came down picked her up and felt her craw. It was super squishy and she could feel the water slosh around, just then the silkie squirts out about half the water it had drank. It looked like a squirt gun! Is it normal for a silkie to drink that much water?
