Silkie with dirty face

One of our silkies has a dirty face and has had it for about a week. Could this be a sign of of an illness? Is it mites? Last summer they had mites. There were no symptoms but I saw them when I picked one up so we treated them.

It would be helpful to get a picture with the sun on her face to see the details. Have you looked at her skin for any more evidence of mites?
