Silkie with poo on her butt all the time

There are many issues for runny poop, including reproductive infections, some of which are ecoli, worms, overall system failure. When a hen is going downhill, the two things you notice are the crop stops working properly and the poop becomes very runny, and greenish if she isn't eating well. However, that said, even hot weather and high water needs can cause temporary runny poop, as can eating too much fruit at one time.

I've personally never seen vent gleet, which is fungal in nature and requires something like Monistat for treatment.

I'm having the same issue with one of less than week old silky chick. I've been picking the poo off nightly but I have a feeling I'm stressing the chick more than needed.
Edit: when I picked them up this same chick was lethargic and it's butt was completely caked in poo. After I cleaned it off the first time it pooped A LOT but it's definitely better now lively, eating, drinking, just poo sticking to their butt.
