Personally looks like a roo! But some questions are , whats the personality? Does it tend to puff out its chest, walk in a masculine way, and protect the flock? (also not to sure on the breed
Doesn’t seem to be masculine at all! He/she doesn’t seem to try to protect the flock but he is a couple weeks younger than the rest and way smaller if that matters lolPersonally looks like a roo! Hm, theres still a chance its a roo, but judging off of what you said its probably a hen, usually roosters at 6 weeks of age would be already showing signs. But then again silkies are much harder to tell by.Doesn’t seem to be masculine at all! Thanks so much!Looks like a young cockerel, BUT this is a silkie and you need more time. He would not have any flock protection instincts at this age. Basically a pre-teen.
Streamers (long, coarser feathers coming off the back of the crest) normally start to develop by around 16 weeks. Give it another month and repost if you still are unsure.
