I am looking for breeder/show quality silkies with big poofs on their head and as I am new to Silkies and just learning I have come across the vaulted vs non vaulted question without any real conclusion. I know that vaulted is a defect in the skull but does it really effect the outcome of the look of the bird once full grown. I have read both ways so I figured I would ask opinions here. I really want the full head and bearded poofy adorableness. So basically does it really matter? I have noticed the vaulted are more expensive. I do have 6 that I got from a hatchery before I knew much and didn’t realize the difference from hatchery vs breeder so now I’m doing it right I hope.
