I am just wondering how to tell the sex of a silkie. I have one that is 1 week old and was wondering when I should start looking for signs to determine sex. Thanks!

Yep! I have one I still don't know what it is. It's about a year, never laid an egg, never crowed, but I'm fairly sure it's a girl........ maybe not........ I dunno

My hens waited forever to start laying. I was thinking... "Surely I don't have 8 roosters!" finally, they started laying. I only have 1 roo!

A year old and you don't know what sex she/he is..never heard of that one before lol. Maybe its a hermaphrodite.

Thanks Everyone! I sure wish there were easier ways to determine sex of these things... My husband and I keep complaining because it takes too long for them to grow.
