Silkies and egg laying

We're thinking about getting a silkie. What color eggs do they lay and are they good egg layers?

they have cream to brown, very good birds, i love em , i right noe have big birds that were given to me and they needed a home, but i really want my silkys back, lots of small eggs, but they will sit on anything, even golfballs, hehe, great birds
