Silkies biting little yellow toes

I hatched out 12 SG silkies and they are about 3 days old. My MIL gave me a mutt egg (RIR & bantam?) to hatch and it did so today.

I put the mutt in the brooder with the silkies and they silkies are going crazy over her little yellow toes. They keep trying to bite them--like they think they are worms or something!

Anyone else have this problem?

we use a pink light gel so that the chicks cant see any colors. I had this problem.

put a red bulb in the brooder to stop it...

This happend in my last hatch also, I hatched 15 silkies and 1 barred rock they loved his little feet. They stoped after a little while !!!!!
