Silkies Chick ID

Im going to replace the three chicks i lost and i want to replace them with some Silkies, im *hoping* my TSC will have a bantam bin with some Silkies in them. Is there any traits that stand out in a Silkie chick that i can look for when and if i get some?

Yes, be sure the chicks have 5 toes and also black skin, they will be feathered legged too.

Will they have black/blue colored beaks?

YEP! Black beaks, black skin. Don't matter what color they are in the feathers/down.
Look for the toes. You should also be able to id the crests and the feathered legs. Other breeds will have some of these characteristics but not ALL of them.

-eek- i went to TSC today and they didn't have there bantams in *yet* and they weren't sure if they were getting them in at all

but they should! sooo im excited. I think i'll just pull out what ever has crests and or the silkie characteristics!
