Silkies for meat?

I think it would depend on what you're looking for - my friends from China say that they're considered to be very nutritious (especially for new moms) and they're traditionally used in stew/soup. I just took one to a friend recovering from surgery and he was apparently delicious. Another friend saw one in a Chinese market for $9/lb. or so. I wouldn't be able to get past the black skin, either, so my friends will continue to get any extra roos. My hangup only - they are made of chicken!

I've heard of people eating silkies, though I've never eaten one myself. But, hey, they're chickens!

Plus, they're so small you can probably eat one yourself and brag to your friends "I ate an entire chicken in one meal myself!"
