Putting this together to share my Silkies with anyone interested. Share pictures and info you have here on your Silkies and any information that's helpful in raising them.

I am working on breeding Silkies. I have a couple mating pairs and some chicks of different ages. Working on putting together Blue, Black and Splash (BBS) pen. Here's what I have right now.

Rook and Kate (Kate's a frizzled Cochin/Silkie)
They came as a pair. The have 3 chicks that are 3 weeks old.

They're protecting their babies here.

This one is, too. Apparently, a partridge can show up anytime... I believe shes going to be gorgeous. Wait and see. She kinda in a ugly stage right now...molting.

Rook is a good daddy for these three, too. He's adopted them.. great protector.

He protects them when mama ventured away.
Two of them were light colored partridges when they were born and the other was silver with a vaulted Crest. They all kinda look alike right now. Not sure what color they are becoming. Blue and one Splash. Too, cute. They are 5 weeks old.

Then I have this Cutie - Raymee. She looks to be a Dark Blue... maybe A dark Splash...time will tell. Shes 3 mos old.

Then her sibling - a frizzled Partridge Sizzle Roo - Curly. So Gorgeous!!! 3 mos old. Can't wait to see him fully grown.

Coco decided to go broody and is laying on one fertile egg...I believe. Day 7 it appeared to have veins...I'll check again today...day 14. I don't want her attempt to hatch a chick to be futile. Heading to a poultry swap meet today.. may just have to get some more fertile eggs...well, only if Cocoa's egg isn't fertile. LOL
