Silkies purchased in Dec

I purchased these silkies for my kids for Christmas. I requested a black and a white. I was hoping for hens. The white one (Frosty) is undoubtedly a silky. The black one (Shaggy) seems to be the wild card? I was wondering if anyone might be able to guess their sex and maybe tell me about Shaggy's coloration? Thanks for any ideas!!

they both look like silkie mixes and the black one looks to be a boy but dont hold me up to that lol

Silkies would have silkied feathers, those have "normal" feathers. So they are a very adorable mix!!! The white one is especially cute.

I would have to agree. Neither is a pure silkie. They may be mixed with cochin. or something along those lines.
I think it's too early to sex them.

I have a silkie/sultan mix hen that looks the same as Frosty! I wonder if my Silkie/sultan mix will be a good broody?
