Hi everyone,

So my chicks are 2 months and 10 days old now, and I'm not sure but all I can see - except for one (Kira) is "cockerels"! Am I wrong?
Just so you know, Orpi is an Orpington, Fluffy is a mix between a Polish (I guess??) and a Silkie, and the other ones are Silkies.

Here are some pics below (they look dirty cause they ate watermelon, great idea, haha).

Thanks for your opinion! 🥰

Fluffy is probably just a silkie mix! I don't see much polish in them, and if Orpi is the same age as the rest of them, that's a mighty big red comb :'(

Maki's crest has me worried but honestly the comb being what appears to be single or something at least not-walnut it could be a pullet? But it is still kind of early to positively sex silkies.

Knowing that though, Judy might be a cockerel, the comb is Really wide, same with Kiri, Kira, Klevry and Lexa. It is still technically early, they could end up hens but right now they seem like they may be cockerel :'( but silkies have proved me wrong before, so check back in after some more time has passed! :D

Thanks so much!

Haha, yea Fluffy is a mix for sure, but which one? I asked the owner/egg seller and she never replied ; he/she has 5 fingers for sure but doesn't look like a Silkie.

Orpi is exactly the same age, he did a cockerel singing (sorry I'm French so there's probably a better way to name this) yesterday but nothing since then.

Are you sure about Kira? I was pretty sure she was a female! 🙃

At this point I can only see the Orpington being a cockerel. You Silkies are bearded by the looks of them so they could keep you guessing until they either lay an egg or start crowing.

They are all very cute but I love Fluffy.

Yea, Orpi is a cockerel for sure, he started to crow (not sure it's the right way to say it), yesterday, just after a rooster far away did ; probably tried to imitate him!

I love Fluffy so much, he/she has a wry neck right now but almost fixed after 12 days! :fl
