Silkies still not laying?

We live in WV and my girls are still not laying. A Silkie/OEGB mix that's in with the girls is laying everyday now and my SLWs have been laying regularly since February. Should I be worried?

How old are the silkies? Some of my silkies took 8-10 months to lay

Some folks say the better teh quality the longer it is before they lay? I've had some lay around 6-7 months old but thats the earliest Ive seen so far from my gals.

No worries. I only have one silkie laying and I have lots of Silkies. Remember, they do not do change well. So if you were thinking about changing pens, adding a nest box, etc. do it now while they are still not laying as to not upset their delicate balance.

Don't fear out of 7 silkie hens only 1 of mine is laying...Silly silkie girls

The Momma is in there and she turned 2 in January and her babies will turn 1 in May. Stinkers

I thought I had an egg eater, but I put an egg from one of my other coops in there and the 4 month olds are sitting on it! They're fighting over who gets to sit on it, too! Silly things

I guess patience is a virtue.
