Yes but in the sense that she meant "frizzle" she was probably referring to the cochin type of frizzle..... I wasn't going to go into that genetic shpeal.
 
Well they don't stop eating, but they are sitting on the nest most of the day and that is very hard work. They usually tend to lose weight. They only get up off the nest about once a day to eat and poop. But that is when they brood a clutch of eggs. Breaking them of broodiness really isn't that hard, just like Poulets de Cajun explained.
