Are silkies always fussy about being social,

I have been handling them every day for the past
2 months and they still fuss, also those of you that are
are more experienced in silkies this is my first hatch.
What do you feed them at the 3rd. month
Crumbles layer feed or keep them, on starter by purina
thru the 4th. month. When do you change over?
I have them in with Ameraucanas
should they be seperated they are all about the same age.
Anyone .what do you do.

My silkies are with larger birds, this summer i had 1 of my silkie girls hatch out a EE, and they stay together, I would switch them to layer when they are about 17 to 20 weeks old, that is about the time they will start laying, but now that fall is here, they may wait tell spring lay.

this is Dad Roo with the EE baby that is 13 weeks now

I can only get them from my cell

my silkies don't like to be held unless its there idea...If I sit on the ground some will climb in my lap on their own... they are 7 weeks old... the one that hate being held the most is my chick with wry neck... she hates her meds...
