my white silkie hen and buff orange rooster just hatched a black chick. How did that happen?

Couple things about complicated chicken genetics at play
1) chick down is the genetics of the chick but it doesn’t always feather out to be the color of it chick fluff. Most likely it will feather out black though.
2)breeding a white Silkie to anything except white is a mystery of what color the chicks you’ll get because most white Silkies are recessive so you need 2 copies to get white.
