i was hard boiling eggs like i do every week, and i was cutting them up for my chickens and i seen that the center was like orange unsead of a rich yellow like the rest of the yolks. i have been collecting eggs from my bantam ameraucanas tried a couple of times incubating them but with some failure, but what im really asking is does that orange mean some of my eggs are fertile? because honestly ive never seen my lil roo do the deed

well dont you have a "bullseye" if they are fertile and wouldnt that show in the yolk? the actually color is a deep yellow but the centers of some were orange not the classic yellow i was just wondering if the "bullseye" would discolor the middle of the yolk

ok because i was freaking out that i boiled some of my future babies!!!!! i about cryed but that makes me feel better

Umm..the only way your going to see the bullseye is if you crack the egg raw...a hard boiled egg is not going to help you out any:hide. Maybe do a week of scrambled eggs instead of boiled and you will know better what's going on:hu(or not going on:gig) with your Roo Boy!
