Silly little Golden Lakenvelder!

She has become so sweet! She is still flighty, but she seeks attention from me now. I don't know if she thinks I'm her boy(girl?)friend or what, but she sure has turned the corner. She'll hop up on the deck and sit with me and want me to pet her.

I love hens like that.

Unfortunately, my little hen decided she needs some real friends and has been shy for the last couple days (she's still sweet when nobody's watching).

This hen, Sophie, sounds like she did the same thing as yours. She was always shy, then all of a sudden she became my best friend!
