Silly question! Do domestic turkeys make the same sounds as wild turkeys??

The hubby and I recently moved out to the country with all of our chickens. Our neighbors down the way have a farm. I know they have a peacock because he hollers 24/7 lol. The other day we heard a turkey gobbling. We figured it was a wild one at first but we keep hearing it and I swear it’s comimg from the neighbors. It’s not getting any closer or further away. I’m convinced it’s the neighbors turkey. Husband says he didn’t think wild and domestic turkeys make the same calls....

Yeah, the noises domestic and wild turkeys make are pretty much the same. My turkeys talk to the local wild flock, and they will sometimes fight if my turkeys are out.

Yep, they speak the same language which is why it is not uncommon for domestic birds to run off with the wild flocks.
