Silver and Gold Laced Wyandotte 7 day old Chicks

Here are pics of our new 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 3 Gold Laced Wyandottes. It seems the one silver laced is already showing lacing patterns on her new wings, besides the legs getting darker! All were bought as pullets.

This SLW's legs got darker at around 3-4 days old, and another SLW's legs are beginning to also:

What do you all think? Now my chick count is up to 23 with chicks aged from 1-8 weeks old....!

Now at a year later do you have pictures of them grown up? I have a SLW chick right now that has a comb that looks very much like a single comb like yours in the 7th picture and was wondering if that chicks comb did Pea when it grew up or if it kept looking like a single.

We ended up selling the slw because the color was off - we plan to try again with a different hatchery. The glw was good.
Also some other slw we bought as pullets - 3 were roos!!

at what age did you know the color of the SLW's were off?

As soon as they were a few months old- they did not have the nice white black pattern - too much black- also 3 of the ones we sold "changed" into roos!! when we bought pullets only!

When I first saw those pictures today... I was like, those are not SLW. I have some in the brooder right now, definately "off" colored to say the least, lol!
