So I went out to give my girls a treat bowl. To notice Hazel my silver apple yard limping pretty bad, to the point she would barely weight her foot. But she hobbled over for her peas, berries kale, mealworms and tomato bowl spiked with some brewers yeast and b complex with the rest of the flock. After she ate her fill I picked her up to examine her, it seems her ankle is a bit swollen but she let me touch it and her feet with no reaction. I felt for any breaks from toe to thigh and everything felt ok and once again no reaction to the pressure of me feeling for injury. I looked at the bottom of her foot and didn't see any sign of bumble foot. Any ideas on what may be the issue? I'm thinking possible sprain/strain from getting in or out of the pool or maybe she did step on a bee and it's just not swollen badly? She hopped out of the coop just fine and she is moving around ok minus the wicked limp.

Could be a sprain or a bee bite, with swelling some soaks in warm Epsome salt water may help plus resting. Can they get in and out of their pool without IMG_2636.jpeg having to jump? I use dog pen fencing to make one way in and out for mine to keep them from jumping off the sides. IMG_2454.jpeg

That is a beautiful set up and some gorgeous duckies! I have steps for them to get in but their pools are both just open the rest of the way around. I will give that a shot, thank you! I appreciate your help!
