Hey all fellow duck keepers. We have ducklings hatching from our female blue Swedish today. This will be her first batch of babies as she’s not even a year old yet. She mated with our male silver Appleyard. I know creating mut ducks isn’t exactly the ideal thing to do but we thought we would just roll with it and see how they would turn out. Thought it’d be fun to start a post to share them with you all as they mature. Couldn’t find anything on a cross like this so am anxious to see how they will look. We will be keeping them on our farm and now selling any crosses to other people like this. Will post a picture once they’re all settled in after they hatch. Mother duck is still sitting on them but the eggs are pitting and starting to break open quite a bit now. Thanks for looking !
