Silver Appleyard ducks

Am trying a new breed. my last ducks were the hybrid star breed from McMurry's they lived for 15 years and I still have one female offspring. Being she is the only duck left I wanted get her some company. Anyone else raise the Silver Appleyards

I do! In my opinion they are the best ducks! They are so full of personality, and the females are very chatty!

We are hatching miniature Appleyard, after reading up on breeds they seems a good breed for us and our back garden!
everyone says they have good personalities and a okay egg rate.

If you order from McMurray your order will actually be fulfilled by Metzer Farms. This is called "dropshipping", and I've heard that Cackle is the same way. Unless McMurray is cheaper I don't see the point of ordering from them.

Habit, I have ordered from them over the last 17 years and been happy. I've tried other hatcheries with some hiccups that could of been handled differently not to reorder.

Am excited that my SAY ducks went right to nesting. Today we had the first hatchling appear.......... Whoops lol. Momma loves you no matter what ..
