Do SA's forage well? How old are SA's when you butcher them? How is their egg laying ability? What is your experience with them? Are they calm or skittish? I have pekins right now but I am considering SA's from Holderread's next spring. Thanks!

LOVE our SA's they free range during off season with our Khaki flock and forage well, but move very slowly in comparison. 12-14 weeks old is when we butcher. They are gabby, not skittish, and one of the best if not the best egg layer of the heavy breeds.
