Hi everyone, just wonderi g whats caused this and how I should move forward to work with the chocolate?

Ive been breeding silver laced my pekins for 6 years, 2 years ago I put my best hens to a columbian to improve the type.
This year I mated the best cock and hens from the offspring to bring back out the silver lacing.
Ive got some chocolate from the mating!
Id love to know how, why and how I can use this (I know its early as only a day or so old).
Thanks for any help
Rob

They look like partridge. Partridge can have chocolate brown tinge, or dark brown stripes, occasionally completely brown, lacking stripes. The partridge down pattern can vary depending on the genetics.

Partridge is recessive, so your breeding proves a partridge base.
