SLW's are difficult to sex as chicks. They can't be sexed by color and feather-sexing only works when birds are specifically crossed to be able to do so. Worse, the girls tend to redden up in the comb early much like their brothers.
You might be able to tell at about 6 weeks, but you might have to wait for the adult saddles and color patterns to come in.
