this little buddy has stumped me. Pullet of cockerel

With comb growth and somewhat shiny feathers, I would have to say cockerel. But, if this makes you feel better, wyandotte pullets can sometimes get their wattles and comb earlier than most breeds. You might get lucky, but I think not.

Ok he's almost 5 months old... One of my favorites. I'm hoping we can keep him if he's not too loud

Saddle feathers indicate cockerel.

Interesting....I'd think there'd be pointed saddle/hackle feathers by 5 months. The ones I'm seeing may be a little curved, but they're round. Is there any way you could get a closer shot of that area?
