In my hatchery order I ordered 1 silver laced wyandotte pullet chick, but the hatchery threw in 1 extra chick and it looks like a silver laced wyandotte, but I am wondering if they threw in roo??

First and 3rd picture is the same bird, wondering if a roo because the waddles are larger than on the other SLW. The middle picture is of the one I am sure is a female.

Yeah, I think that's a roo. That's a pretty big comb for a chicken that small when it comes to Wyandottes. I had 3 golden-laced wyandottes, and their combs didn't get very prominent at all until they were about point-of-lay (18-20 weeks). Their wattles were big much sooner than that, but the comb stayed pretty flat for a very long time.

From what I've read on hatcheries (haven't yet ordered from one), generally freebies are going to be cockerels since they need to get rid of the extras that don't sell.

They are 6 weeks old.

I was afraid a roo, I had originally ordered the SLW to sell (I ordered more to get shipping cost down) so maybe I can sell the pair! Hopefully someone wants a pair of SLW!!!

OK, then he's definitely a roo. Yea, I'd try to sell them as a pair. If I lived closer to you, I'd take them.

I'm only 2.5 hrs... hmmm... This is when I really wish I could tell if my BLRW were cockerels or pullets!!
Well MoonAngel12 I could meet you halfway if you are interested. I really want to find them a home soon as I am about ready to try to integrate the "babies" with the older girls and only want to integrate the ones I am going to keep. I also need to find homes for 2 speckled sussex's (pullets) as well.

Just PM me!!!
