Hi All- recently added Silvers to the AlmostaFarm. We keep our other pheasants (each breed in its own pen) at a ratio of 1 cockbird to 2 or 3 hens.
With the Silvers, I currently am selecting the better looking cockbird from 4 and I have 8 hens to choose from- all are 2 yr birds. IS there any advantage to keeping 4 or even 5 hens with the cockbird? My pen is 12 x 40 if that matters
