I will say right now my knowledge of genetics is very little I have been looking forward to these eggs hatching out as I’m hoping for some cool coloured birds. Parents are:

Rooster:
Silver Spangled Hamburg (pictured)

Hens:
1x Buff Brahma
2x Silver Laced Cochins
1x blue, bearded unknown hen who is probably too old to be contributing
1x white cross between a cornish broiler x brahma roo, and a mistral gris hen.

My first chick hatched tonight and it apears to be black. No idea if it will feather out wih some pretty specks or bars? Please feel free to comment and follow along if you want to see chick photos, and if you know genetics and want to help me in predicting colours that is awesome too!

First chick. Looks kind of greyish, but it is just black?
From that list the only hens that may lay something close to Spangling are the Buff Brahma and Silver Laced Cochins, the other hens may cary Extended Black(the Blue and white hen)
